Example 1: Proportional table

- Step 1:Row 1: 8÷2 = 4
- Step 2:Row 2: 12÷3 = 4
- Step 3:Row 3: 20÷5 = 4
- Step 4:All ratios equal 4
Example 2: Non-proportional table
x=1,y=4 | x=2,y=7 | x=3,y=10
- Step 1:Row 1: 4÷1 = 4
- Step 2:Row 2: 7÷2 = 3.5
- Step 3:Row 3: 10÷3 = 3.33
- Step 4:Ratios are not equal

How do I check a table for proportionality?
Divide y by x for every row. If all divisions give the same number, it's proportional.
What if x=0 in my table?
Skip that row. But if x=0 and y≠0, the relationship cannot be proportional.
